This Privacy Policy explains how NeuroAlert ("we", "the site") handles information when you use neuroalert.live. We collect as little as possible and never sell personal data.

• Email address (only if you subscribe). If you sign up for recall alerts, we store your email address solely to send those alerts.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our infrastructure may process standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
• Account details (only if you register). If you create an account to post comments, we store your email address and a securely hashed password — we never store your password in plain text — plus an optional display name and institution.

Accounts and comments

Registration is optional and only needed to post comments. Your password is stored as a salted hash and is never readable by us. Comments you post are shown publicly beside the relevant recall, with your display name (or a masked email) and an institution badge if verified. You can delete your own comments at any time, and you may request account deletion via the contact page — this removes your email, password hash, and profile.

How we use your email

Subscriber email addresses are used only to send neurovascular device recall alerts. We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber emails with third parties.

Cookies and third-party advertising

NeuroAlert may display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Data location and security

Subscriber data is stored on a private, access-controlled server and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold.

Children

This site is intended for healthcare professionals and adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
